Welcome to Manuman Mobility. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the rental of vehicles through Manuman Mobility. By using our website, making a reservation, or renting a vehicle from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. About Manuman Mobility
Manuman Mobility provides vehicle rental services to customers through its website and other approved booking channels.
In these Terms and Conditions, “Manuman Mobility,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to Manuman Mobility, while “you” or “customer” refers to the person making a reservation or renting a vehicle.
2. Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Manuman Mobility, you must:
- Meet the minimum age requirement applicable to the vehicle being rented.
- Hold a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle.
- Provide valid identification and any documents required during the booking or vehicle collection process.
- Provide accurate and complete information when making a reservation.
- Meet any additional requirements communicated by Manuman Mobility.
Manuman Mobility reserves the right to refuse a rental if the customer does not satisfy the applicable requirements.
3. Vehicle Reservations
Reservations may be made through the Manuman Mobility website or through other authorized booking channels.
A reservation is considered confirmed only after Manuman Mobility has accepted the booking and, where applicable, received the required payment or deposit.
Vehicle availability is not guaranteed until the reservation has been confirmed.
Manuman Mobility may provide a vehicle different from the exact model shown during booking, provided that the replacement vehicle is of a similar or equivalent category.
4. Rental Period
The rental period begins at the agreed vehicle collection time and ends when the vehicle is returned to Manuman Mobility or an authorized return location.
Customers are responsible for returning the vehicle on or before the agreed return date and time.
Late returns may result in additional charges according to Manuman Mobility's applicable rental rates.
If you need to extend your rental period, you must contact Manuman Mobility before the original return time. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and approval.
5. Rental Charges and Payment
The total rental price will depend on factors including vehicle category and model, rental duration, collection and return location, additional services, insurance or protection options, applicable taxes and fees, and additional mileage where applicable.
Customers agree to pay all charges associated with their rental.
Manuman Mobility may require a security deposit or other authorization before releasing a vehicle.
The security deposit may be used to cover legitimate charges, including but not limited to vehicle damage, missing equipment, fuel charges, excess mileage, late return charges, cleaning charges, traffic or parking penalties, and other costs resulting from the customer's use of the vehicle.
Any remaining refundable deposit will be returned according to Manuman Mobility's applicable refund procedure.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Customers may cancel their reservation subject to Manuman Mobility's cancellation policy.
Cancellation fees may apply depending on how close the cancellation is to the scheduled collection date.
If a customer fails to collect the vehicle without notifying Manuman Mobility, the reservation may be treated as a no-show and the customer may not be entitled to a refund.
Any refund will be processed according to the payment method and applicable refund policy.
7. Vehicle Collection
At the time of collection, the customer may be required to provide valid identification, a valid driver's license, proof of reservation, payment confirmation, a security deposit or payment method, and any other documentation reasonably required by Manuman Mobility.
The customer should inspect the vehicle before accepting it and report any existing damage or defects that are not already recorded.
By accepting the vehicle, the customer acknowledges its condition as recorded at the time of collection.
8. Vehicle Use
The customer agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and only for lawful purposes.
The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, racing, transporting illegal goods, driving by unauthorized persons, commercial passenger or goods transportation unless specifically authorized, or while the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair driving ability.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all authorized drivers comply with these Terms and Conditions.
9. Authorized Drivers
Only drivers approved by Manuman Mobility may operate the rented vehicle.
The customer must not allow another person to drive the vehicle unless that person has been properly authorized by Manuman Mobility.
The customer may be responsible for all damages, penalties, or costs resulting from an unauthorized driver using the vehicle.
10. Fuel
Unless otherwise stated in the reservation, the vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as when it was collected.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than required, Manuman Mobility may charge the customer for the missing fuel and any applicable service fee.
11. Mileage
Rental agreements may include a mileage allowance depending on the selected rental package.
Where a mileage limit applies, additional mileage may be charged at the applicable rate communicated to the customer.
12. Vehicle Damage and Loss
The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle during the rental period.
The customer may be responsible for costs resulting from accidents caused by negligence or misuse, damage caused by unauthorized drivers, loss of vehicle keys, damage to tires, wheels, glass, interior, or accessories, theft resulting from negligence or failure to secure the vehicle, damage caused by prohibited use, and loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
Customers must immediately report accidents, theft, damage, or mechanical problems to Manuman Mobility.
13. Accidents and Breakdowns
- Stop the vehicle safely.
- Contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement authorities where necessary.
- Notify Manuman Mobility as soon as reasonably possible.
- Provide accurate information about the incident.
- Cooperate with any investigation or insurance process.
Customers should not admit liability or make unauthorized agreements regarding an accident without first consulting Manuman Mobility where reasonably possible.
If the vehicle experiences a mechanical problem, the customer should contact Manuman Mobility for assistance and should not authorize major repairs without prior approval, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.
14. Traffic, Parking and Other Fines
The customer is responsible for all traffic violations, parking penalties, tolls, or other charges incurred during the rental period.
Manuman Mobility may charge the customer for such amounts and any reasonable administrative fees associated with processing them.
15. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited unless expressly authorized by Manuman Mobility: subleasing or renting the vehicle to another person, using the vehicle for racing or competitions, using the vehicle for illegal purposes, transporting hazardous or prohibited materials, driving outside permitted areas or countries, modifying or altering the vehicle, removing vehicle equipment or accessories, or using the vehicle in a manner that creates unreasonable risk or damage.
Violation of these restrictions may result in termination of the rental agreement and additional charges.
16. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their own personal belongings.
Manuman Mobility is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, or damaged in a rented vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Customers should check the vehicle carefully before returning it.
17. Privacy
Manuman Mobility may collect and process personal information necessary to provide rental services, process reservations, communicate with customers, verify identity, process payments, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with Manuman Mobility's Privacy Policy.
18. Website Use
Customers agree to use the Manuman Mobility website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems, submit false or misleading information, interfere with website security, copy or misuse website content without permission, or use automated systems to abuse or disrupt the website.
Manuman Mobility reserves the right to suspend access to the website where misuse or unauthorized activity is suspected.
19. Website Information
Manuman Mobility makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information displayed on the website is accurate and up to date.
However, vehicle availability, specifications, prices, images, and other information may change without notice.
Vehicle images displayed on the website may be representative and may not always show the exact vehicle supplied.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Manuman Mobility will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the customer's use of a rented vehicle or the website.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
21. Termination of Rental
Manuman Mobility may terminate a rental agreement if the customer violates these Terms and Conditions, provides false or misleading information, uses the vehicle unlawfully or dangerously, fails to make required payments, allows use by an unauthorized driver, or if continuing the rental would create an unreasonable risk to the vehicle, customer, or third parties.
If a rental is terminated due to the customer's breach, the customer may remain responsible for applicable charges, damages, and other costs.
22. Changes to These Terms
Manuman Mobility may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Customers are encouraged to review these Terms before making a new reservation.
23. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the United States and the State of Maine.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or a rental agreement shall be handled by the courts or other competent authorities of Portland, Maine, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
